Bara Luxe: Revolutionizing Plus-Size Bridal Fashion

Bara Luxe bridal gowns for plus-size women

The Goal

Long before the body positivity movement, and the rise of David’s Bridal, upscale bridal boutiques didn’t carry sample gowns in extended sizes. Bara Luxe, a start-up couture design house from Japan, aimed to remedy this by launching a collection for curvy women in the midst of the economic downturn of 2008-2009.

The Strategy

Bara Luxe hired Fineberg Publicity to generate media buzz for its unique sample sizing system during trunk shows held at top salons nationwide.

I pitched TV producers how Bara Luxe offered women of larger sizes That Special Moment of trying on different gowns in front of their friends in a store, which standard-size women have long enjoyed.

The Results

My outreach secured fashion segments for the brand hosted by Bara Luxe’s President in West Hartford, Chicago, Denver, Little Rock, and Detroit.
